Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
II Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
At our salvation experience, a change took place in the lives of believers in Christ. Our old nature was killed and a new one created.
As believers in Christ, we are still emerging to behold the person that was created. It’s a journey that often is filled with disappointments, frustrations, delays, and many heartaches. But it is also a journey that is filled with unspeakable joy that can only be found in Christ alone.
The past couple of months God has made it his absolute mission to fill me with his joy through the situations around me spoke anything but joy.
Just like we had to make a choice at salvation, we have to make a choice with everything else. We have to make a choice to receive and maintain the joy that only comes from knowing Christ.
There is so much to unpack from this journey of being transformed into the image of God. Transformation is a personal thing. No one can make you walk in agreement with the change that wants to place in your heart. You must make the decision daily to change. Change is a continuous process until Christ returns.
But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
I Corinthians 2:9 NKJV
